Parking around the school

It was very concerning when a neighbour rang during the week to express her grave concerns for the safety of our students as they arrive at school and leave the school. The neighbour complained that parents are parking on the opposite side of Brookville Road and calling children across the road. This is a very dangerous practice. Please abide by parking regulations and encourage our children to exercise road safety. I urge you to collectively care for our school children by setting the best possible example for them. Thank you for your support in this serious matter.

Sand Pit

Generally speaking, both parents and children thoroughly enjoy having such a large sand pit for the children to play in while at school. However, some parents have expressed concern about the quality of the sand in the pit. After discussions with Buildings and Grounds Sub Committee of School Council, it has been decided to keep the sandpit in operation while increasing the maintenance program. The sand will be replaced with clean, high quality sand each term by the school caretaker. He will also be vigilant with the general cleanliness of the sand pit and surrounding areas.
